October brings many exciting events to Flagstaff and the NAU campus! One of them, in anticipation of NAU's homecoming weekend, was the NAU Tradition's Day Carnival. The event took place on the fields in front of the Health and Learning Center where carnival rides, events and competitions were made available to NAU students.
The Chili Cook-Off started at 6pm and hosted competitors such as the 4-year reigning chili champions of the High Country Conference Center and cooks from South campus, North campus, and 1899. It was a pleasant surprise when after all the votes were counted that 1899 Bar and Grill was the clear winner, shattering the 4 year streak of the High Country Conference Center.
